Getting Started

Set up ExtraBrain before a live interview or meeting so permissions and model downloads have time to finish.

Setup Order

Section titled “Setup Order”
  1. Install the Mac app and understand the build differences.
  2. Complete first-run setup.
  3. Grant microphone, screen, and system audio permissions.
  4. Choose Parakeet, Apple Speech, or Deepgram transcription.
  5. Connect AI, including local Gemma or ExtraBrain AI where available.
  6. Ask a typed question, then test a live session.

Prepare Your Context

Section titled “Prepare Your Context”

Add concise instructions in Personalization, import reference documents, and choose an appropriate profile. Check data handling before importing private material.
